Two of the 20th century’s defining trends in international popular portrait photography can be linked to Anatol Josepho and his family: Stickyback Photography and the use of the Automatic Photobooth. Recent research has revealed that in the 1910s, the Hungarian capital Budapest played a key role in the spread of the former and the birth of the latter.
